Victorian River Regions

Victorian Catchment Management Authorities (CMAs) and Melbourne Water in their role as caretakers of river health are working hard to protect and restore Victoria’s rivers.

The Victorian government established CMAs in 1997. These community-based organisations plan and coordinate land and water management in each catchment.
