Seasonal Allocations

A water allocation is a percentage of the water share volume that is actually available to water share holders in a given water system during a given irrigation season.

Water allocations made throughout the season are credited to water share owners’ allocation bank accounts after each seasonal determination.

The managing water authority makes seasonal determinations at intervals throughout the season. It assesses the water available for allocations for each class of water shares in a regulated water system.

In northern Victoria seasonal allocations are announced by Goulburn-Murray Water. For the current allocation announcement and seasonal outlook, visit the Goulburn-Murray Water website.

In southern Victoria seasonal allocations are announced by Southern Rural Water. For the current allocation announcement and seasonal outlook, please contact Southern Rural Water.
